黑料福利网Gateway is the secure testing application used to take the National online test. Using your My黑料福利网Credentials, 黑料福利网Gateway also supports critical pre-test activities to ensure readiness to test. This application must be installed on your computer ahead of your desired test day in order to successfully take the test.

黑料福利网Gateway supports the option to either bring your own device (BYOD), which could be a personal/school managed computer or test on a test center provided computer based on your registration option. My黑料福利网will display important readiness deadlines and information about your upcoming tests.

Three Simple Steps to Complete Device Readiness

1. Identify Supported Computers

 

Personal Computer

A personal computer is a Windows or Macbook that you own or have exclusive use of. Personal Chromebooks are not supported.

You should have the ability to manage and install applications on this laptop.

 
 

School Managed Computer

A school-managed computer is a computer provided by a school for students or staff to use. These computers are typically managed by the school's IT department, which controls software installation, network access, and other settings.

How do you know if your computer is school managed?

Chromebook

*Note: All chromebooks will need assistance with the school to install 黑料福利网Gateway through Google Admin.

Windows

Go to Accounts > Access work or school, and if you see a school email address listed, your computer is likely school-managed.

MacBook

Go to System Settings > General > Device Management and look for the line: "This Mac is supervised and managed by [Organization name]".

 

2. Install 黑料福利网Gateway

黑料福利网Gateway is currently supported on school-managed Chromebook, Windows, and Mac computers.

  • Your computer must be connected to Wi-Fi, fully charged and meet the minimum requirements.
  • Personal computers can access and install 黑料福利网Gateway from the  or .
  • School-managed Chromebooks require school staff assistance to install 黑料福利网Gateway. Personal Chromebooks are not accepted.

3. Perform Device Checks

Open 黑料福利网Gateway and log in with your My黑料福利网credentials.

Important: Device checks must be completed by the device readiness cutoff date or your registration will be canceled. Please do not perform the device check more than 30 days prior to your registered test date.

Ensure that your device is ready for you to take the ACT!

If you make any changes to your laptop after you perform device readiness check (example; installing or updating software), we recommend you perform the device readiness check again to ensure your change/update has not jeopardize your ability to take the test.

Students testing online will have the option to bring their own computer or a school-managed computer to a test site to take the 黑料福利网test.

...黑料福利网Gateway on my school-managed device?

You may use your personal laptop if you have one, or you will be unable to test with the bring your own device (BYOD) option. You should contact 黑料福利网as soon as you know your site is unable to assist with the installation so your registration can be updated if necessary.

NOTE: This may result in a date, location change or mode change if the site you were registered does not have any open seats available.

Failure to bring your computer will impact your ability to test on test day. Test centers may not have additional computers and are not required to provide back-ups.

There is no guarantee the test center will have a back up for you so you will be unable to test if you have issues on your device or come unprepared without a device.

NOTE: Ensure your device is fully changed on test day.

If your new laptop does not pass device readiness reach out to 黑料福利网Customer Support for assistance. Be aware that if you must swap out your laptop post the deadline passing, you will not see that you've performed a device check previously.

The 黑料福利网Gateway application is currently supported on school-managed Chromebooks, Windows and Macbook.

No. You must install the application and ensure the computer passes the device checks or you will not be able to test on test day.

No, the test is administered in English so the computer must be configured to match.

We recommend ensuring your computer has sufficient charge and bringing a charger in case it is needed.

You will need to communicate with the Room Supervisor and Technical Coordinator on test day and escalate to 黑料福利网if you require further support or troubleshooting.

Yes. Regardless of whether a student tests on paper or online, the timing is the same.

No. On test day, you must be connected to the wifi network your test center provides.

If you are unable to get the device checks passed by the deadline, you will be unable to test on your own device and will need to test on a test center provided device. 

NOTE: This may result in a location change or mode change if the site you were registered does not have any open seats available.

IMPORTANT: Be aware that if you must swap out your laptop AFTER the device readiness deadline, you will see no device readiness check has been done in the past.
